Reasons Your Stainless BBQ Grill Will Rust

One reason your stainless bbq grill may rust is the quality of the grill parts. Look out for the inexpensive grill with the name Commercial Model or Professional Series.  We are so use to associating a stainless product with a symbol of quality.

Just because it has the stainless look does not mean that the stainless steel is high quality. Unsavory Manufacturers will purposely use cheap stainless to give a look and idea of high quality but cheap steel is quick to rust and discolor.  If the grill is cheap, the quality is usually cheap.

Look at the actual manufacturer of the grill. American manufacturers will document the type of materials used to make the grill. Be sure the importer is not claiming to be a manufacturer. If your grill comes with a warranty, call and see if you reach a person or if the warranty is a sham. American Made stainless steel BBQ grill are usually made with higher expectations of the product and quality.

Today, well built products are made from a stainless steel designated as 304. Classified in numerical categories, 304 refer to outdoor stainless because of its chemical properties.  Indoor stainless steel does not contend with humidity, rain, snow, or heat. Outdoors grills use 18 gauge, 304 stainless steel because of the nickel and chromium. Nickel is the hardening agent that will prevent rust and chromium protects the surface of grill.

Another reason for stainless grills to rust is a swimming pool. If your grill is close to your pool the chemicals of the pool will cause your grill to corrode. Chlorine and other chemicals slowly dissipate into the atmosphere and your grill is directly affected. Be aware of where you place your grill in relation to your swimming pool.  If you are grilling by the pool, after cooking store the grill as far away from the pool as possible.

The main key to the life of your grill is proper maintenance. Once a year break down your grill and remove the burners, cooking grids, and shields. Properly clean each piece to remove grease and carbon discoloration from heat.  After each cooking but sure to run your grill on high for 10 to 12 minutes to dry it out and then scrape the stainless clean. Keep your high quality stainless grill clean and dry and it should last forever.

How To Create Real Barbeque Entertainment

Featured

When you combine friends, family, food, and fun you have a barbeque that anyone can enjoy. Having the right barbeque entertainment is the key to bringing together everything. It does not matter where the entertainment comes from it just needs to be there. People need something to occupy there mind while they are waiting for the food to come off the grill.

For the kids at the party, something as simple as a water hose shower can be great fun if it is scorching hot outside. Turning the water on and splashing away the heat of the sun, or you can have some water balloons as well. Just make sure you pre-warn the parents their kids may get wet.

If you love the water but would rather just relax you can never go wrong with a pool. Whether it is the in ground pool or an inflatable one a pool is the perfect entertainment to go along with any barbecue occasion.

Another great entertainment tool that can give any barbecue hours of fun is a radio. You can make a compilation of your favorite artists and songs and put them on a compact disc or an MP3 player you can plug into your TV or computer. If you do not have the time to make CDs, you can always turn to your favorite stations and let the dj keep the party live.

It is also fun if you can have separate tables set up with different game themes. Have a couple of stacks of cards, one on each table and let your guests choose which games they would like to play. Believe it or not, board games can be fun as well. Just ensure everyone keeps things friendly.

If you are looking for some good barbeque entertainment all you have to do is look at what you enjoy doing and apply it to your barbeque and you plus your guess will be guaranteed to have fun.

Stainless Gas Grill

Featured

Now is the time to get outdoors and enjoy cooking with a stainless gas grill. It is the best of both worlds, the convenience of gas and the lustrous look of stainless. It is a great feeling when you are entertaining guests and grilling with a grill so nice that it looks like an extension from your kitchen. Outdoor kitchens are now the new standard to any patio and no outdoor kitchen is complete without a stainless gas grill.

Grilling is not just for the men anymore. The new stainless gas grills are easy enough that the women love to get involved. You never have to worry about lighting charcoal and waiting for the heat. This is an instant lighting grill that is heat controlled with a turn of the knob. You can cook on a low setting for cooking vegetables and use the other side on a higher setting for meat. It is so much like cooking with a stove but with so much more flavor.

The stainless gas grills can be used year round. It is simple to cook outdoors in the colder months when you don’t have to worry about trying to keep the charcoal going. The stainless gas bbq grill is also easy to maintain and keep clean. Stainless steel has always been known for its anti- rust and none corrosive qualities. The higher the grade of steel will result in the life of your grill.

Of course it is not 100% fireproof but with a higher grade of steel you will see less discoloration or damage to your grill. When you shop for your stainless gas bbq grill consider the environment that you will be in. Is your area going to be moist or dry, hot or cold, or is there an alkali or acidic chemicals near the grill. This will help you decide on the type grade of steel that is best for you.

A stainless gas grill scratches easily so when cleaning your grill, do not use steel wool or metal brushes. Abrasive cleaning agents should also be avoided since this would cause more damage than good to your barbeque grill. There are appropriate kitchen appliance cleaners and grill cleaners that can be used. With a damp, soft cloth and your cleaner rub the outside of your grill until you see that new shine again. Your grill will last for years with this technique.

If you properly clean your grill you will not have to worry about rust. Rust is mainly present when your grill is left in moisture for a long period of time. Invest in a good grill cover to prevent water damage. Take the cover off right before you light the grill and as soon as the grill is cooled, replace the cover. Pick a cover that has a felt liner on the inside to help keep moisture out. Enjoy the outdoors again and cook outside. Your new stainless gas grill will become your new kitchen that your family and friends will enjoy for years.
